New Dish Cloth Colors
Four new dish cloth colors are now listed in my shop at: http://www.maryellenscrafts.etsy.com/ :
Stonewashed for the "Forever in Bluejeans" gal. Looks like the comfortable faded blue jeans we live in so much these days.
Indigo is more of the "old" jeans. The ones that look like they have never been worn, deep blue.
Country Twist has white, blue and green twisted together to add just a little touch of color.
Tangerine!! What can I say, it is not the bright orange but a deep softer orange when you want to add just a touch of brighter color than using a pastel.

New Name - Additional Use
The heating pads have a new name: Cooling/heating pads. Use as a heating pad by placing them in the microwave for 3 minutes. They will stay warm for 30 minutes. Use them as a "ice" pack, by placing them in the freezer. You no longer need to use a towel, there is now condensation. YEAH!!! I purchased an ice blanket a few months ago. The ice blanket has multiple "pockets" of blue fluid. It is great as it is large enough to wrap around your foot, as in my case. Two of the
"pockets" have broken. Thankfully, I had a towel around it so the blue didn't get on any furniture. Now I no longer need to worry about it, I will just use the cooling/heating pad. It is not as stiff as the regular ice packs so they mold easier for a "tighter" fit.
Check out my shop at: www.maryellenscrafts.etsy.com for a wide variety of fabric covers to choose from. Buy two, one for the freezer and one for use as a heating pad.

New Heating Pads
Check out my shop at http://www.maryellenscrafts.etsy.com/ I have added several new heating pads. A friend and I did some shopping for new fabrics. I have to admit, I don't know which is my favorite one.
I started making these several years ago at the request of a cousin. She has two sons and one daughter-in-law who are chiropractors. They are made using wheat berries instead of rice or corn. They are very soft and with four compartments they are very "moldable". Heat them in the microwave for 3 minutes, they will stay warm for 30 minutes. Great to use for your sore neck, back, arms, legs or feet. The covers are removable for easy cleaning.
Best of all they smell like fresh baked bread. Umm!!!!

Spring is Definitely Here!!!
Yeah!!! The sun is shining and the plants are beginning to bud. The tulips are well on their way to showing their beautiful colors!!! This is the time of year when you are itching to get outside for any reason, but there is still a little nip in the air on some days. We did have a day last week were we hit 81 degrees. Our record high was 82.
It is also the time when our creative juices get the adrenaline rush. So much to do, so little time to do it. My problem is so many ideas and I want to start each one: NOW!!! I will get organized and busy!!!

There are Angels Among US
I am reading a very good book right now. It is called: A Rustle of Angels by Marilynn Carlson Webber & William D Webber. If is a reminder no matter what is going on there are angels with us protecting us, guiding us or giving us comfort. We may not see them, but they are always there. I have relisted my Ecru Crocheted Angel in my etsy shop: http://www.maryellenscrafts.etsy.com/ as a reminder to all of us, we always have a angel with us.

New Dish Cloth
I love the rich deep tones of this dish cloth. Midnight magic is the name of the color: purple, burgundy and green. What a combination!!!! Hand knitted to a generous 9 1/2 inches. Thick and very absorbant.

New Product Listed
I have been busy working on new listing for my shop: http://www.maryellenscrafts.etsy.com/. Today I added a new heating pad. The cover fabric is full of pansies. It is very pretty. Perfect for the person who loves flowers. The cover is removeable for easy cleaning. Like the rest of my heating pads, the in side unit has 4 compartments of wheat berries to help conform to the needed area.
Instead of using an electric blanket, I use 2 of these heating pads. I follow the instructions below and place one at the foot of my bed and one up by the pillows. When I got to bed, I crawl into a warm bed and I don't have the worry of the electric blanket starting unfire. I also use them to keep my feet warm while watching TV.
Instructions for use: Heat in the microwave for 3 minutes. They will stay warm for 30 minutes.
